Plain English summary

SliceReel runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Your videos and photos never leave your device, and we never see them. We collect nothing.

What SliceReel does

SliceReel is an iPhone app that turns one video into an Instagram carousel — splitting it into clips, letting you design a cover on the first frame, previewing how it will look in your feed and on your grid, and exporting the clips in order to your photo library. The developer operates no backend servers; everything happens on your device.

Data we collect

The developer collects nothing. SliceReel does not:

Your videos and photos

🎞️
Photo library — used on your device only
SliceReel accesses your photo library so you can choose a video to turn into a carousel, import a cover photo if you want one, and save the finished clips back to a dated album. All processing happens locally on your device. Your media is never uploaded, shared, or sent anywhere — the developer has no ability to see or recover it. iOS asks your permission first, and you can change it any time in Settings → SliceReel → Photos.

On-device storage

SliceReel keeps only small app preferences on your device — such as your last split settings and your chosen app icon. There is no personal data store, and nothing is synced to the developer. Removing the app clears its data.

Third parties

SliceReel contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing to share or sell, and we do not do either. SliceReel is not affiliated with or endorsed by Instagram or Meta.

Children's privacy

SliceReel is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone. Since the app collects no data at all, no personal information from children (or adults) is gathered.

App Store privacy label

Consistent with this policy, SliceReel's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected."

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
