FAQ

Do I need an account to use SliceReel?

No. SliceReel works the moment you open it. There's no sign-in and nothing to set up — just pick a video and go.

How long can my video be?

Any length. Instagram carousels allow up to 20 items, each video 3–60 seconds, so SliceReel keeps your clips inside that range automatically. A 60–90 second video is the sweet spot.

Why does my cover get cut off on my profile grid?

Instagram crops the profile grid to a 3:4 shape, so a tall cover can lose its top and bottom. That's exactly what SliceReel's live grid preview and safe-zone overlay are for — keep your cover's key elements inside the guide and it will never get clipped.

My clips uploaded to Instagram out of order.

SliceReel saves your clips to a dated album named 01…NN so they sort correctly. When building the carousel in Instagram, add them in that numbered order — clip 01 (with your cover) first.

Can SliceReel post the carousel to Instagram for me?

Not automatically — Instagram doesn't offer a way for third-party apps to publish a carousel on your behalf. SliceReel exports the finished clips in order so you post them yourself in a few taps.

How do I change the app icon?

On the import screen, tap App icon and choose from the six looks. iOS will show its standard confirmation when the icon changes.

Export isn't saving to my photos.

SliceReel needs permission to add clips to your library. Enable it in Settings → SliceReel → Photos (or Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos), then export again.
